Egyptisch Kat (Bastet) amulet van carneool.
The cat was a holy animal in ancient Egyptian times and was often associated with the goddes Bastet. Bastet was the goddes of fertility, care, joy, dance, music, feast and warmth. She is first known in the 2nd dynasty and was the protector of the Farao. This one is made of carnelian which is special because it was expensive and only for the elite.
